5 Beauty/Fashion Bloggers to Follow

Who do you turn to when you need to know the latest fashion trends or how to get that airbrushed makeup look? Beauty and fashion bloggers have been on the rise for the past few years now and rightly so. They put in the time and research and promote the brands they like and trust.

I personally have found many helpful Youtube tutorials over the years. When I wanted to find out the proper way to apply different types of makeup and perfecting techniques. It’s like having your own personal makeup artist or stylist, only free!

So I have put together a list of my favorite 5 beauty/fashion bloggers to follow, some you may have heard of and others you may not have. But give these ladies your attention and you will keep coming back for more.

Kandee Johnson – Kandee is a professional makeup artist extraordinaire. She is so happy and she very enthusiastically offers tips and has some of the most amazing character transformations on her Youtube channel.  She has transformed herself into Barbie and Ken, Snow White, Betty Boop and even some cartoon characters like Tina Belcher (Bob’s Burgers). Check out her Youtube channel for more great tips and inspiration.

Anastasija Stasha – This Balkan beauty has been covering beauty and fashion between her Youtube channel and her blog for the past decade. Her vlogs are always in her native tongue, however, so those of you who do not speak Serbian may find it hard to follow but she does a lot of makeup tutorials (who needs words for those) and she does offer her blog posts in both English/Serbian. Pro-tip: (You can also use https://translate.google.com/ to translate full websites into other languages, so you can have the benefit of reading posts in your own language as well).

Justine Leconte – Justine is a French fashion designer who offers all kinds of helpful fashion tips and advice from the French perspective. Some of my favorites from her including how to create a capsule wardrobe, how to avoid fast fashion labels and pick pieces that will last, how to determine your body type and choose clothes to fit it, and how to apply perfume the French way (and why).

The Very French Girl – I love listening to her accent while she tells me how to get that less is more natural makeup look that French women go for. I have always gone the bare minimum route with makeup since I am prone to having oily skin. I love her makeup reviews and her morning/nightly skin care routine videos and makeup tutorials.

Nikkie Tutorials – Nikkie is a professional hair and makeup artist from the Netherlands. She offers fantastic makeup tutorials and also throws in a bit of humor in videos like the How I Did My Makeup in High School Challenge or the Taking Foundation Application to the Next Level.

So the next time you are preparing to head out to a Nick Cave concert or on your OkCupid date be sure to check these ladies out for some advice, inspiration or a tutorial first and you won’t be disappointed.
